ESUNT Technology - Architecture and Secure Communication

ESUNT (End-To-End Secure User Network Technology) is a proposed serverless, elliptic-curve-based over-encryption architecture intended to add an independent security layer to digital communications. It separates the protection of communication content from the applications and infrastructure used to transmit it.

Security Beyond the Communication Platform

Many communication platforms already provide end-to-end encryption, but their users must still rely on the provider's cryptographic design, implementation, and security policies.

ESUNT proposes a complementary approach: communication content would receive additional protection on participating devices before entering the underlying communication platform. The platform can continue handling delivery and other services without controlling the separate ESUNT cryptographic context.

Core Architectural Principles

Independent Over-Encryption

ESUNT is designed to apply a separate encryption layer independently of any encryption already provided by the host communication platform.

This separation allows ESUNT to manage its own protection mechanisms while the underlying platform continues to perform its normal communication functions.

Serverless Security Model

The ESUNT security layer is designed to establish and manage its cryptographic context without depending on a central ESUNT server.

This does not mean that the underlying messaging or communication service operates without servers. Existing platforms may continue using their normal infrastructure.

Elliptic-Curve-Based Cryptography

The proposed architecture uses elliptic-curve cryptography as a foundation for establishing secure relationships and managing cryptographic material on participating devices.

The design emphasizes locally controlled cryptographic operations and independence from the underlying communication provider.

Local Encryption and Decryption

Communication content is intended to be encrypted locally before entering the selected communication channel and decrypted locally by authorized receiving devices.

The transport provider does not need to manage the additional ESUNT cryptographic context.

Flexible Deployment Architecture

ESUNT is designed to support two complementary deployment models.

Integration with Existing Applications

Where suitable integration is available, ESUNT could complement existing messaging, collaboration, and communication applications without replacing their established delivery infrastructure.

Standalone ESUNT

A dedicated cross-platform application is also planned, offering its own interface for protected communications, secure contacts, and groups while retaining local cryptographic control.

Development and Security Validation

ESUNT is progressing from its technology architecture and product concept toward the development of a working minimum viable product (MVP).

The MVP is intended to demonstrate the essential cryptographic operations, secure communication workflows, and practical feasibility of the proposed architecture.

Implementation testing, interoperability evaluation, and independent security assessment will be necessary before ESUNT can be considered ready for production use.

This page describes the proposed architecture and development objectives. It does not claim completed implementation, certification, or independently verified security.
