What is ESUNT?

ESUNT (End-To-End Secure User Network Technology) is a serverless, elliptic-curve-based over-encryption technology designed to add an independent layer of security to digital communications. Rather than relying exclusively on the protection provided by a messaging or communication platform, ESUNT introduces an additional layer of encryption controlled by the communicating users.

Secure Communication, Reinforced

Modern communication platforms may already provide end-to-end encryption, but their users still depend on the platforms' security architecture, implementation, and operational decisions.

ESUNT is designed to provide an additional, independently controlled protection layer that operates before communication content enters the underlying application's normal communication process.

The objective is not simply to introduce another encrypted messenger, but to make enhanced communication protection available across different applications and environments.

An Independent Layer of Protection

ESUNT separates the protection of communication content from the platform responsible for transmitting it.

Once participating devices establish a shared secure context, ESUNT is designed to perform encryption and decryption locally. The underlying application continues to handle communication through its existing infrastructure, without needing to control the additional ESUNT protection layer.

This separation is central to the ESUNT concept: communication platforms continue doing what they do best, while ESUNT introduces another level of user-controlled protection.

Serverless by Design

ESUNT's security model is designed to operate without requiring a central ESUNT server to establish its own secure context or perform local cryptographic operations.

Participating devices manage the additional protection locally, independently of the communication provider's encryption infrastructure.

Serverless does not mean that the underlying communication platform operates without servers. Messaging applications, voice services, and other communication systems may continue using their existing networks and infrastructure.

The distinction is that ESUNT's additional security layer is designed not to depend on those providers for its own cryptographic control.

One Technology, Two Deployment Models

Integration with Existing Applications

ESUNT is designed to be integrated into existing messaging, communication, and collaboration platforms, potentially adding an independent security capability without requiring those platforms to replace their established communication infrastructure.

For technology providers, this creates an opportunity to offer additional protection while retaining familiar applications and user experiences.

Standalone Secure Communication

ESUNT is also intended to become a standalone, cross-platform security solution, offering users an independently controlled environment for secure communication.

This approach would allow ESUNT to develop as a dedicated product while preserving opportunities for integration with other communication ecosystems.

Who Is ESUNT For?

ESUNT is intended for individuals and organizations that value confidentiality, privacy, and greater control over their digital communications.

Its potential applications include personal communication, professional collaboration, business environments, and other situations where an additional layer of protection may be beneficial.

For communication platform developers and technology companies, ESUNT also offers a potential integration opportunity: extending security capabilities without necessarily replacing existing communication services.

From Technology Concept to Working Product

ESUNT is currently in the development stage. Its architecture, proposed capabilities, and user interfaces provide the foundation for the planned implementation and validation of a working minimum viable product (MVP).

The next development priorities include implementing the essential functionality, testing communication workflows, and evaluating the security of the resulting software.

The ESUNT project aims to make its technology available through practical products and potential partnerships, with further development and commercialization supported by community interest and future funding initiatives.
